I Tweaked My Tuna

I was just dying for a tuna sandwich today.  But ... not the usual one
with mayo, chopped celery and green onion.

I wanted to add a little zest to my tuna, so I tweaked it.  I got out my
micro plane and a couple of lemon slices and added some lemon zest to my
hum drum tuna.  Then I squeezed in a little lemon juice too.

I got so involved in tweaking and eating that I realized that tuna tweaking
was not the original tweaking project I had in mind.

I had a completely different tweaking project to show you. But the
sandwich was good and I just wanted to savor every bite.

So ...

I finished my my sandwich and my tea and got a jump start on my original
tweaking project.

I'll just keep you in suspense until next Tuesday.

I am joining ~

Bentley ~ I am saying my prayers that all of our friends on the
east coast will be safe and that hurricane Sandy does not cause too
much damage.

Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

  1. Susan, that tuna sandwich looks good. Your sofa and pillows are so charming and inviting. Can't wait to see what you're going to tweak. Have a good tweak, I mean week, Susan and Bentley. laurie

  2. Susan ~ never thought of adding lemon juice and zest to a tuna sandwich, but my oh my ~ it looks yummy. I haven't had a tuna sandwich in a while ~ guess I'm thinking I will. Drool Drool.
Sandy has hit here in Ontario, the winds are 90-100kms and the rain has pelted us all day. Hopefully, it will pass without much damage to trees and shrubs. I think it's a VERY good time to sit and have a cup of tea or Hmmmmmm Hot chocolate? with marshmallows ~ mmmmmm~ I need an excuse for all the calories ;-)

  5. Please excuse me! I was going to comment on your lovely china, but I'm going to make a tuna salad sandwich right now! It's your fault. I'll save the comment for another day.
