Thrift Shop Charger Decorated For Easter

I started to think about our Easter tablescape when I decided that
I did not want to use any of my chargers and thought ...
why not create my own?

Last year I bought these wooden chargers to complement a woodland theme
table.  Suddenly I thought ~ why not paint them?  If you ask my husband
he will tell you that I paint everything else ;-)  And since they were only 25 cents a piece
it's no big loss if I paint them.

So I did.  I sprayed them off white.  Sanded them a bit and pulled out some
craft paints to decorate the chargers for Easter.  You certainly could paint any
designs you want.  This would be fun to do with kids so that each one
has their very own personalized charger.

There you have it.  Another thrift shop revamp.
Now on to more decorations.  I'll see you with those
creations later this week.  Until them I am ...

Happily Joining ~

Okay Bentley ~ We need to start working on a centerpiece.
I have some ideas so come out to the potting shed with me
so we can find some moss and pots and baskets.

Big Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

  19. Well, if I could paint, I would try this! It is such a cute idea. I do have spray primer and paint to pain some chargers, but I have no talent to decorate them. You chose wonderful tableware to compliment the chargers. I love your mother-of-pearl flatware - I have only knives. Thanks for sharing this great idea!

  22. Beautiful makeover, Susan! I love these! I love how they look with your dishes, too. What a great buy and you're right, if you didn't like the way they turned out, it wouldn't have been a big deal. You don't have to worry about that, though, they turned out great!
