Well it's Rednesday again! Rednesday is becoming one of my favorite days in Blog Land because I love red so much!! I love vintage style telephones and I especially love this red wall phone. I purchased it from Pottery Barn several years ago. Although I like the convenience of my cell phone, I just love the look of vintage phones! It seems that only happy calls could be made or received on a cheerful red phone.
Of course, if you receive a call from a friend about a great garage sale, or a special at the market, it's always handy to have a cheerful red oil cloth shopping bag at the ready!!
And of course, if you need to sit and chat for a while with your friend, it's good to have a cheerful red stool nearby. Thanks for visiting my little red corner. Be sure to stop by at Sue's blog It's a Very Cherry World. She and the other girls have some great reds to share with you. Excuse me, I better sign off, my red hotline is ringing now!!
Love,
Susan and Bentley

Oh what a cool red phone and the chair looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteI love old phones too! I have an aqua Princess phone that I got at a garage sale last year. The ringer doesn't work, but I can make and receive calls. I actually enjoy using the rotary dial. Sometimes! It definitely takes longer to make a call! Love your oilcloth bag too. I wish there was some cute oilcloth to buy around here, because I'd love to make a bag and a tablecloth for the patio table!
ReplyDeleteHappy REDnesday,
Carol
What a perfect Rednesday post!! I LOVE the phone, Susan. Wish we didn't all go the way of individual cells here when I see something like this!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great week! :-)

ReplyDeleteI miss those kinds of phones! I remember being a teen and talking on a corded phone. we only had one and it was in our hall. We had to duck into the bathroom if we wanted privacy while we talked. :0)

Susan,
ReplyDeleteYou know me and vintage! Love your red phone and every little thing about that corner! One of my firsts post was about my phone I had at home when I was a teenager. It was a ericfon, with the dial on the bottom. Loved and when I get back to the cape house, I will have one again!
