Postal Basket

Near the front door is a little shelf that I salvaged. I painted it white, added a vintage post card and painted a few little flowers on it. Now I am using it to store the postal basket and my favorite vintage train case.

We don't get quite as many letters as we once did, but I still love to put the mail we still do receive in one spot.

I'm joining Marty for Table Top Tuesday and Linda for Nifty Thrifty Tuesday. Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Bentley, you love the postman don't you? You always give him a big welcome and a kiss too when he stops by each day.

Love,
Susan and Bentley

Reminds me I have a 'new' white shelf out in the garage. Better clean that up and get it in here. =)

  2. Bentley, how kind of you to kiss the postman. Does he bring you a treat? I like the way you painted the shelf for your mail.

  3. At the best of fall home show in Columbus they were talking about finding a special place for mail instead of cluttering up the countertops. Love your location!

  8. That's what I need to do. Get a basket or something to put the mail in. We gets tons of stuff and it's always all over the table.

  12. Very sweet spot, Susan. We have a three-tiered basket at our house. Top one is Dan's mail, middle is mine and the bottom is this, that and the other :)

  14. speaking of mailman... Paul was pretty sure all last week that the mailman had took his "pirate boat" and "We got to get my boat back from the mailman," is what he would say every time he saw the mailman.
    Loving the train case.
