Thrift Shop Vignettes

So the other day I stopped by one of my favorite reuse/repurpose shops and found this little corner shelf. It can be hung in a corner or it can stand on a table top. I still don't know if I'll use it or not, but I decided to play around with it. Of course the dark stain had to go ... so I painted it white, and then ...

On to the fun part ~ decorating. I decided to try some different vignettes and started pulling things out of cupboards and off shelves. Here is the first one I came up with ...

Okay, that's rather cute, but how about a puppy motif ...

As you know by now, there is a lot of dog "art" around the cottage. I love this little vintage puppy and kitten cup and saucer.

But wait ... how about miniatures???

This could go on for a while, so until I decide please visit some great blogs to see what other bloggers are playing with today. Stop by to see my friend Debbie at Debbie-Doos, Color Outside the Lines for Vignette Fridays, and don't forget Cindy at My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday.

How do you like that doggie vignette Bentley??

Love,
Susan and Bentley

  7. Fabulous paint job Susan and any of those sweet vignettes would be a winner! Don't you just love to re-purpose things our mother's would have chucked? Thank goodness times have changed that way at least and some of these old treasures have a new life!
    Hugs to precious Bentley!
