Goodbye Elizabeth

Rest in peace dear Elizabeth

I'll be watching National Velvet tonight.
This image is from that wonderful MGM movie released in 1944.
When I was a young girl just learning to ride, I watched this
movie every chance I had. A 12 year old Elizabeth did a wonderful
job of bringing Enid Bagnold's character Velvet to life.

Love,
Susan and Bentley

  4. She was my favorite actress of all time. I wanted to look like her, act like her, be her. *sigh* We have lost one of the biggest legends of all time.

  6. I had not heard about her passing. This is so sad. I love National Velvet (we are horse people). Hug Bentley for me, Susan, because I know he is probably very sad, too!
