Memorial Day Plans

We could have cocktails on the front porch.

Or ...

Lemonade in the backyard.

But ...

It's cold and raining here in Idaho.

So ...

How about a hot cup of tea in front of the fire?

Whatever you do this Memorial Day Weekend ~
Please remember to honor the men and women who have
sacrificed to keep our nation free!

Bentley and I are joining ~

Bentley and I wish you and your family
a happy holiday!!

Love,
Susan and Bentley

  1. Susan, I'd be delighted with any one of these choices. I'll trade you some of our hot weather for a little of your rain. At 100 degrees we have plenty of warmth to send your way. ;-)

  2. Hi, I just found your blog, and I must say it's one of the most beautiful I've seen. Such an inviting place to go and relax looking at your lovely items. I don't have a blog, but I'm following yours.

  3. What a lovely offering. I'll take the iced tea--it's hot here. I love the Scottie print in the background.

  6. Lovely pictures Susan ~ I would be honoured to sit anywhere and have a chat over a cup of tea or a glass of lemonade or a coctail~! We had Victoria Day in Canada last Monday, but, I will be sure to take a moment Memorial Day to remember. It's very important to honour those that have fought for our freedom ;-)

  7. I always look forward to your posts and vignettes. It's been a mix of sun and rain in West MI. I'm off to a HUGE antique market with my mom and sis this morning and I have both rain gear and sunscreen in my shopping bag.

Happy Memorial weekend to you and Bentley!

  8. Like having more than one place outside to go. To be 90 here in Illinois...we had the heat on Thursday!

  9. Hi Susan,
I like any of your choices, depending on the weather! Here in northern IL, it's been quite cool and rainy, too. Although, tomorrow - Memorial Day - is supposed to be hot and humid, so the tall glass of lemonade with lots of ice would be mighty refreshing. Have a great weekend!

  12. Hi Susan and Bentley,
The sun is shining here, but it's too darn hot to go outside. So, I'm going to sit with a very large glass of ice tea and read. Have a wonderful holiday!

  13. Hi Susan and Bentley,

I love your photos! This is such a cute post. I'm so excited to hear that you have the Juliet dishes as well. I rarely see them in Blogland, but then, I haven't been blogging very long. I couldn't help but notice the print on your table of the white Scottie -- we have that same print. We also own a white Scottie (actually his color is officially wheaten). We call him the Scottish terrorist. I also love your pictures for the Pink Saturday post; you have some lovely things! Thanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving such kind comments. Have a great week!

  15. Bentley, buddy, how do you take your tea? Bonnie Blue likes hers with milk and sugar. Stay warm and cozy, my little friend!
