Simplify

Everyone I talk to has been hit by our economic downturn.
Will there be an end in sight?
As one who believes in the strength, spirit, talent and
creativity of our fellow countrymen I say
Yes We Will turn our economy around!

Until then we will stand tall, have faith, love our friends
and family and take joy in the simple pleasures of life.

We will reuse and repurpose.  We will plant Victory Gardens like our
country did in the past.  We will support our community.

We will blog on and share tips.

And we will laugh and have fun!

Right Bentley?

Let's get this party started ~

and

By the way ~ I still have music on my site for those of you
who enjoy it.  Just go to the sidebar to turn it on.  Playlist
unfortunately no longer turns on upon opening the page.
For a music lover like me, this is regrettable.

Love,
Susan and Bentley

  3. The current regime will not even discuss the high food and fuel prices. According to them.....it doesn't exist! *shhhhhh* It is a deep dark secret....there is no inflation on fuel and food...it has been taken out of the equation!

    BENTLEY FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!

  4. I sure hope things are going to turn around soon. Too many folks with no jobs. But you are right... Americans are resilient and we figure out a way to make it work.

  5. I'm working hard not to spend any money. I haven't even been out in almost a week. I am buying groceries, prescriptions and pet food only. I am quite proud of myself, as I've needed to do this for some time. And going out and buying something just to blog about or just because I'm bored isn't a good enough reason.

  9. Susan,
Did you email Playlist to find out why it is not turning on when a blog is first accessed?
I did this morning and I am waiting for a reply. I hope this is not a permanent thing or I will be looking for a new playlist site.
    It is very disappointing!

    hugs,
    Debbie

  12. Love the scrap quilt! We've had to simplify, but making scrap quilts is a handed down tradition in our family. You can see some of mine on my blog. http://loisarnold.blogspot.com

  15. I certainly understand cutting back and being frugal. That's what we all need to do when money is tight. The problem comes in when people keep their purchases to a bare minimum even though they don't NEED to! When people don't buy, companies cut back production, cut their budgets, and don't hire! Thereby, perpetuating the interconnected economic slump. It's a Catch-22. No easy answers anywhere!

  16. This has been weighing heavily on everyone hasn't it. Every so often these periods have to be and then growth and expansion follows it. Love your new header! Thanks for linking it up to HSH!
