I love them all ~
Tablecloths, Bridge Sets, Napkins, Tea Towels.
Any time I find vintage linens I just swoon.
Here are a few on that old tea cart I painted recently.
(I love the tea cart too)
I think of the love that went into each cross stitch and each bit of embroidery.
Such treasures!
I feel like wearing a pretty dress, some pearls and an apron and
inviting you all over for tea!
I am headed to Marty's for
Come join me.
Bentley ~ Daddy and I bought a new home freezer for out in the
garage. Let's go fill it up with the frozen food in our old
refrigerator before the new one is delivered tomorrow. After
that we can watch I Love Lucy and the Home Freezer episode!
Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

I heart vintage linens too. I'm always amazed at the fine detail and the hours and hours it took just to make one napkin. Thanks for sharing:-)
ReplyDeleteHi Susan...
ReplyDeleteOhhh yes...I love vintage linens, too! I just love the tea cloth and napkins that you showcased today! My...ohhh my...the embroidery is just fabulous! I can't even begin to imagine the time and work that went into sewing these beautiful pieces! Thank you so much for sharing them with us today...such a treat, my friend!
Warmest wishes,
Chari
Or when Aunt Bee bought all the meat at a cheaper price and the old freezer went bad on the back porch! Good ole' Andy went out and bought her a new one!

Me
Bentley, make sure Momma gets her food out there in a hurry!
Beautiful doilies, love the edging in the second photo.
ReplyDeleteI love linens also but have not wanted to use them for fear of soiling them. I have dug them out and started using them when I can what is the sense of having them in a draw.

OH Susan, me too!!! And we know that hours of work went into each piece. I do love the little blue edges on the tablecloth. Speaking of embroidered pieces, this is the last day for my "embroidered pretties" GIVEAWAY. If you haven't already entered your name, please stop by.
ReplyDeleteOh what gorgeous linens. I love the beautiful cross-stitch. So much work and such beauties. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteMe too Susan however sometimes I fear I may lose my mind ironing them!

ReplyDeleteHave a great day~!
These are so lovely!! When I was a little girl , I used to embroider and do printed cross stitch items!!
ReplyDeleteNow you can 't find them as everything is the counted cross stitch and I do not have the eye sight to do that!!
Hugs,
Debbie
I love vintage linens, too. Yours are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI too love vintage linens. Before I began quilting so much, I did lots and lots of handwork (as did my grandmother). When I see them orphaned at thrift stores and antique stores, I just have to bring some home!
