You know what? No matter how many hours I spend in front of this stove
attempting to create a culinary masterpiece ...
IT ONLY TAKES 10 MINUTES TO EAT!!!
And it all happens again tomorrow for Sunday dinner!
I am taking a break from the kitchen to visit

Oh do I know this! I think of this with every holiday too. Hours preparing & cooking and it's eaten up within minutes!
ReplyDeleteMy sister in law and I have been saying this for so long. On holidays we slave over the stove and then the family desends like wolves eat in minutes. So I guess it was good that is what we say.

Love your kitchen Susan. I love to cook too. I love old cook books and I try and find one recipe to try a week and you are so right. Hours spent in the kitchen and just minutes to eat. But they are wonderful minutes.

Amazing kitchen. I am a so so cook but it still takes only a few minutes to eat and then there is that clean up afterward...sigh, why do we do it?

Love your oven. I have the Thermador with double ovens. We have had lots of trouble with it, more than I ever did with the cheaper kind. :(

I feel this way on Thanksgiving and Easter when I make a feast. It's gone too fast!! Then I have the dishes!
