Getting My Groove Back

Have you ever felt like you have lost your way?  I have.
Brenda has been talking about being authentic this past week and she
really hit a cord with me.

I'm not sure how it happened, and the how is not important ~ but
I have lost my authentic self.  So I have been focusing this week on getting her
back.

I'm just letting my creative spirit flow.  I'm taking pics and posting
about whatever interests me at the moment.  I'll just throw lots of ideas out
there and see what sticks.

I hope that you will join me on this creative adventure.  You are welcome
to critique.

So let's just have fun and savor all that life has to offer.
Let's put on some fun music and dance like no one is watching.

Come join me and watch me get my groove back.

Bentley ~ I don't think you have ever lost your groove.
What's your secret?

Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

  3. This time of year, can be long. Perhaps that's why you can feel like you lost your authentic self.

Whatever the reason, it's always Wise and Wonderful to seek to get our-own-groove back. May we all succeed!

  5. I think you have a good idea. Brenda's writing has a way of making us open up our hearts as well. I hope you get your groove back...I'm sure you haven't lost it completely.

  6. I totally understand, Susan!! I had been feeling that way, too for the past several days, but I called it my "mental fog". I guess I just feel a little lost, plus we have had several foggy mornings here where I live. I posted about it the other day on my blog. Sometimes we just need a break to collect our thoughts and rest. I really like the blueware pictures you posted!!

  9. You just can't go wrong with Martha and The Vandellas! Maybe it is just the winter blues, dear sister? I am sorry I have not been writing much, just on the road with my Dad and getting him better. Miss you :(

  12. I like your photos, especially the one of the hats. I'd say you're getting your groove back. I wish I were in a groove. I've been in a rut since Christmas.

  14. Susan, I hope everything is OK! I hope Bentley can help you find your groove, but in the meantime, I must say that I love your umbrella stand. It is so pretty!

  15. Do you think it has anything to do with the post-Christmas Yukkies? I got the yuks every year. My get-up-and-go is lost and I'm not being very productive.... Living in the Pacific Northwest doesn't help. It's really cold and gloomy right now.

Love you pictures and glad to know you're groovy again......
