After yesterday's vibrant reds I decided to calm things down a bit with some
calm, cool and collected blues. Our world is so full of stress and tension. We all
need to find ways to bring serenity into our homes and leave the stress outside the door.
The soft shades of blue and white make me feel peaceful. It's just one of the ways
I bring serenity into our home.
I love to add vintage pieces into the mix as well. I love their charm and
innocence.
It's what we bloggers do. We nurture our families by feathering our nests
and sharing our ideas with one another.
Have a wonderful day and when you have a chance, stop by and visit
these blog parties for lots of inspiration ~
Of course one of the very best ways to lower the stress in our
lives is to include a furry friend. Bentley brings us so much
happiness everyday and lowers our blood pressure too!
Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
very serene...I will have to go look at your reds.

Hi there, Oh how I love your nest! It makes me relax just looking at it! I have heard that dogs do lower our blood pressure too and help us live a longer, happier life.

Blue and white are my two new favorite colors for decorating!!! There is something fresh, clean, and peaceful about them!!....plus, they remind me of the beach and the ocean!! :)
ReplyDeleteSusan ~ those blues are so calming and cool. Just so relaxing and I bet you relax with Bentley. Petting an animal is proven to reduce blood pressure. I'm petting Chessie alot these days ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat is a truly soft blue. Very sweet Susan. I would not know what a day was like without my fur child.

ReplyDeleteHi Susan! I know exactly what you're saying. I just switched out the faded reds throughout my house from the past year and brought back the pale blues/grays I always love. It is much more peaceful and serene in here now - and I'm just loving it! I adore the vignettes you shared. Sooooo pretty! :) I'm your newest follower!

Pale blue is a beautiful calming color. I love it in accessories around the home. Pale blue glass is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI have what can be a very stressful and demanding job. But I do have to admit that the moment I open my front door, all of that stress leaves me because my home has a peacefulness that calms me down. I enjoy my home so much that I am convinvced that I could never leave it for a month and I still would find things to do and be happy aobut it...
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Deb
