This pumpkin is dedicated to brave little terriers everywhere.
They have the courage to stand up evil witches, and other scary creatures.
It's my "And Your Little Dog Too" pumpkin. I created it because I love
the terrier's tenacity, spunk and determination.
Dorothy had her beloved Toto and I have you Bentley!
Joining ~
Bentley is so brave that when he was just six months old he cornered a
20 pound raccoon under our deck. The raccoon was hissing at Bentley
but Bentley would not back down. Fortunately, David grabbed the hose and
turned it on both of them and they ran out from under the deck and the
raccoon ran up a tree. That little peanut scared us both to death!
Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

What an adorable pumpkin! Bentley, like Duke, has that Napoleon complex too! I think it's a little dog thing, or it could be just a male thing, protecting his kingdom! Whatever it is, we love 'em!
ReplyDeleteThat is just too cute! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteAdorable!
ReplyDeleteI am so proud of your bravery when you were young, Bentley! I love Toto...such a cute little Cairn Terrier....Westies come from them, the color was bred out of their coats!

Hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this post and LOVE your pumpkin!!! What a cute idea! You may already know, I'm a big fan of terriers (MacDuff is the third Scottish Terrier I've had during my lifetime.) Terriers are definitely brave, and they never give up. I love their independent spirits, don't you?
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day. :)

Now that is one spunky pumpkin! I believe that is the most adorable pumpkin I've ever seen. Bentley certainly leads an adventurous life. When I was a kid, that part of the Wizard of Oz would upset me even more than the Flying Monkeys.

ReplyDeleteI just KnEw that was a Wizard of Oz reference! And, then, scrolled down to see the Wicked Witch of the West. I remember seeing that movie for the first time on a color tv . . . a novelty. I finally have my own copy of it by way of a gift. It's Blu Ray. I haven't watched it yet, but think it's just about time to do that! Follow the yellow brick road. And, I loved your brave pup story -thankfully the racoons were bullied and the garden hose in the hands of David took care of that! Phew!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!!!
PS - give Bentley a rousing squench of a hug for me.
Deletecoolest pumpkin ever! i love all things oz myself. happy pink/pumpkin saturday! xo
ReplyDeleteHi Susan and Bentley -- That is a picture of the scariest witch!! Brings back memories. My daughter played Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz in her high school play! And I love Scottie dogs, so you've brought happy memories today for PS. Please join the challenge at Morning Dewdrops to support breast cancer awareness month. I'm thumbnail #90 on PS.
