I Am Calling Him Angus

I was in Hobby Lobby on Friday and spotted this cute cookie jar.  Despite
my fondness for all images terrier, I passed him up.  I was on a mission
for other kinds of Christmas decorations.

But later after I returned home, I could not get that cute pup off my mind.

It's not as though I needed him because I already have lots of Christmas in the
kitchen.  No, not needed but wanted.   So I thought about him all night.
I know ~ sounds silly, but that's how I am.

And I made up my mind that if when I returned to the store the next
day and there were any left, I would buy one.

The display had been moved forward from the place it was the day before.
The collection had diminished.  There were all kinds of cookies jars
remaining, but only one white Westie remained.  I lovingly put him in my
cart and took him home.  Welcome to our kitchen Angus!

Bentley won't be the least bit jealous as long as I toss in a few
of his doggie treats for safe keeping :-)

Susan and Bentley

  1. Angus is precious! I'm sure as long as he is filled with treats or cookies, he will be accepted!

  2. I have done that also. Seen something, not bought it, thought about it all night and gone back. If it's still there then It's meant to come home with me. I'm so glad Angus was still there for you! CUTE! I have a snowman cookie jar I just love. It isn't Christmas without him!

  15. I do that all the time! I'm constantly passing things up in the store, only to return again the next day to buy it. Your little Angus is too cute! Totally worth the trip back!

  21. Oh dear, Angus is soooo cute!! I'm sitting here giggling, thinking of how many times I've done that. Seeing something in the store, that I really don't need, then going back to get it, thinking 'if it's still there, it's mine, lol.

  22. Well, I'm a day late and an adorable Westie cookie jar short! I just found this blog and pic over the weekend. I called every Hobby Lobby within a 100 mi radius of Manassas VA (where I live) and Toms River NJ (where we have a house) and none are to be found! So, if anyone has ANY idea, short of hoping to find it on ebay in the future, where to get one of these westie cookie jars, please let me know. My email is bandlranch@aol.com. And my Westie puppies (Heidi and Chloe) would love to get one of these for their treats.

  23. I hope that Angus is still doing well. I just learned, the hard way, that the heads on these fall out quite easily and break into many small pieces when they hit the floor. Now desperately searching.
