In between loads of laundry and general clean up around the full size
house ~ I just couldn't help but fuss around a bit with the mini house.
Yesterday this cute little shelf arrived for above the kitchen sink. I
just hung it on the wall this morning and could not wait to show you
how cute it is!
I have more plans for the mini house. I'll have some time this weekend to
make a skirt for the sink. David is in a golf tournament all weekend so
Bentley and I will be hanging out together playing with minis.
It's so much more fun to decorate in miniature :-)
Baking going on here in the mini kitchen too. Do you think I will ever
grow up??? I certainly hope not!
Happy Friday y'all.
Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
Precious! Love the little shelf. The skirt will be darling.

I am anxious to make the skirt. Trying to decided what fabric to use.
DeleteLots of us would like a house like your mini.
ReplyDeleteThanks LV :-)
DeleteTotally cute! Did the shelf come with all of the extras on it... or were they yours? They look adorable. How fun!
ReplyDelete~Jill
The shelf came by itself. I already had the other pieces. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI am just deeply entranced by your miniature house, Susan. It makes me want to dig the old one out that we have and redo it from top to bottom. I just love it. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOh yes ~ do get out the old dollhouse and start decorating. You will have so much fun ~ trust me ~ I know :-)
DeleteSweet! We have a full size vintage kitchen sink like your miniature. I was hoping to use it in the basement apartment, but alas it will not fit there. I am so disappointed! I gave our old dollhouse to our daughter. We had made it for her when she was a little girl.
ReplyDeleteI hope your daughter is still playing with her dollhouse!
DeleteI played with my dollhouse a bit yesterday - still had its Christmas stuff up! We moved it into the basement when we had company then with some serious family illnesses - well - it got ignored for the most part.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's the warm weather - makes us want to be girls again. : - )
Love your new shelf and miniatures - those little measuring spoons as ADORABLE.

I never stopped being a girl :-)
DeleteSusan, I've wanted to do a little house ..all my life. I bought one..adorable but it's under the bed and I never had the nerve to start putting it together. Then I bought one already put together and it sits on a table in the living room unfurnished. I don't know where to begin.
ReplyDeleteI look at all the miniture things..and that is as far as I get.
That little shelf and all the rest of it...just reminds me of what I never got around to doing. I'm too lod now.. I will just come and look at what you do. :) In another life..
Just start with one room at a time. Look on Pinterest for some inspiring dollhouses. You'll get going in no time :-)
DeleteOh, I want a dollhouse too. Never ever grow up is the only way to go. :)
ReplyDeleteLoved your post.
Happy pinks!
It's such a good stress reliever!
DeleteJust adorable, and I love the soft colors you use.......only children want to be a grown up !!!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth!
DeleteThere's something so magical about everyday items when they're shrunk down to dollhouse scale. Our Seattle dollhouse miniature show is coming up soon. I went once & 4 hours went by way too fast. I could have stayed 4 more. Might have to go again. I hope it's closer to me this time.
ReplyDeleteI can lose complete track of time in mini land :-)
DeleteAnd it's so much more affordable, isn't it? I'm glad you're having fun decorating in miniature, my friend.

Claudia
Absolutely more affordable!
DeleteForgot to ask, Susan. Is the dollhouse you were building complete now?
ReplyDeleteNo lol! I gave up on that for a while and the minis are living on a bookshelf in my studio. One of these days ….
DeleteWorking in the dollhouse is a lot more appealing than in the real house!!! And you can't beat pink! Love your fresh, clean, pink kitchen! Do you remember where you got that adorable copper kettle? I'm looking for one for my daughter's mini kitchen.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to remember where I found it and I think it was on eBay.
DeleteYour mini furnishings are just adorable! Would you consider doing a post listing some of your favorite sites for minis? Barbara
ReplyDeleteSure ~ happy to do it.
Deletethese miniatures are so adorable! it must be great fun for you. happy pink Saturday! xo
ReplyDeleteIt is great fun!
DeleteAdorable! You fool me every time...I always think, "Oh look at her sweet kitchen!" Love it!
ReplyDeleteHaPpY pInK sAtUrDaY!
Blessings,
Sarah
That's funny!
DeleteThat's too cute! Wish it was my kitchen! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI would like to cook in that kitchen too ;-)
DeleteI used to collect miniatures some years ago ..... and displayed them in a vintage printers tray that hung on the wall in my kitchen! I still love such items....but YOURS are over the top amazing!!! Mine had no real direction...just "whatever". Thanks for sharing them with us and HPS!
ReplyDeleteMy Mom used to have one of those vintage printer's trays too. Wonder what ever happened to it??? Thanks for your kind words Dana.
DeleteOh Dear Susan,
ReplyDeleteMy excuse has always been that I'm Peter Pan's sister. We live 30 minutes from Disney World Resort and the slogan this year is 'Don't act your age - act your shoe size" How much better can it get?
Act your shoe size? Love it ~ that would make me somewhere between 5 1/2 and 6!
DeleteHow sweet is that?! I love your mini kitchen!
ReplyDeleteThanks AnnMarie!
DeleteThis is SO CUTE! About twenty years ago I started a miniature recreation of Sherlock Holmes' flat at 221B Baker Street. I haven't done anything with it for years, but seeing your darling kitchen is quite encouraging.
ReplyDeleteYou should start again. It's so much fun!
