Sometimes the answer to my prayers comes so slowly that I begin to
doubt. I fret and wonder ….
Is God not listening to me? Have I lost my connection?
Is my problem to great or too small (fill in the blanks)
for consideration?
Then one day, when least expected, the answer arrives.
And I stop, and I listen. And I marvel at the response.
The prayer is not answered in quite the way I had hoped ….
But in a much better way!
And I bow to His wisdom and I give thanks.
Never give up on prayer ~ it is always answered.
Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
I know. There was a time I thought God was not listening to my prayers and hopes, that I got a little upset with HIM once and yes, HE responded and was much better.
ReplyDeleteAbout two weeks ago we were in such deep concern and a little devastated because in Miami when the Gynecologist checked my DD Alex for her pregnancy and was 4 months, they thought the baby had some kind of abnormality. Something like she was gonna be very tall but with a small head and would have mental illness when she became an teenager.
We waited a few weeks to get the final results from test they ran from taking amniotic liquid from the baby.
I cried and cried and begged him with my life and we got the answer that baby girl was perfect!
I do believe HE worked a miracle on the baby and now my sweet girl is happy and all the family.
HE answered and I have faith in our God for ever.
Hugs,
FABBY
Amen to that. As you know Susan, I have been praying for my forever home - for four long years. I now know that if it would have happened any sooner, we would not have been able to do it. Thank you Lord for answered prayer. He is always there listening and as you said, the answer may not always be what you want, it will be better.

So happy your prayers were answered in whatever way they were. I may have told you this before but in my Bible is written "To worry is an insult to God". However, we as humans, worry.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!

Amen, sweetie, and I too am glad your prayer was answered. God is just an amazing father and He wants to bless us so much.

ReplyDeleteDear Susan and Bentley...Even when we think our prayers are not being answered...perhaps they are..but in a way we will see the wisdom in later. Trust in the Lord our God...and your ends will always come out even...Hugs to you both!

ReplyDeleteLovely words of truth, Susan. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe Lord has some really surprising endings and beginnings to situations in life doesn't He? Moment by moment prayer is what I am finding the only way to live my life.
