Wacky About Wicker

My husband always jokes that we have a basket for
everything in our cottage!

And you know what ...
He's right!!

We have vintage ones and new ones too.

I just love the texture, the shapes,
the organic nature of anything woven.

And ~ I just might need a tiny basket for a
tiny bear!!

It's Party Time Friday!
and ...

Bentley used to have a wicker bed, but he chewed up
the sides when he was a puppy, so now he has
an upholstered one. He only naps in it because
he really likes to sleep in our bed.
Right Bentley?

Love,
Susan and Bentley

  1. I also love the organic look and feel of baskets. I have always wanted a picnic basket. We don't do a lot of picnics but I am sure that is because we are lacking a lovely basket to carry our lunch in.

Especially, like the wicher wrapped bottles!

  9. I love it! We have this love for wicker/baskets in common. I recently thought about doing a post...Help, someone please call 'baskets anonymous'!!! I always seem to find a use for them though :)

  10. Susan, me too! Love the texture and the look of baskets, but mostly like the idea of them being handmade. I've had to edit my group of baskets over the years. Just not enough space. In recent years my favorites are my Nantucket baskets, but I continue to use all my baskets for various jobs. They are so versatile. ~ Sarah

  15. Nice collection of baskets. I love the wicker covered jug and the old flower gathering basket in the last two photo's. I love baskets too and have a large collection of antique ones. I have shown my oldest one in today's post that is a miniature one that my Grandmother gave me. Baskets are the most fun to collect. There is such a variety of them. ~~Sherry~~
