A Free Spirit


Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;




Then took the other, just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,




And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.




I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

    I too have long followed the road less traveled and while it is sometimes lonely I wouldnt change my decision to do so.

  8. Your photo's are beautiful AND I love your blog background. I don't know how to do that yet..or make a header but I'm trying to learn.
    I think I took the road less traveled also...but it was worth it. It really was. Your post made me pause and think for a moment. There has been a lot of tears and loss but the good outweighs the bad greatly. I would do it all again. At my age I've become very aware of the final curtain and that I don't have years and years to do things. And it really does give one pause. :) but a nice one.
