Telemarketers Or Why It's Good To Leave the House

I never realized how many telemarketers call during the day until
I stay home for a few days!

Bentley ~ momma will have to turn off the ringers while I am
gone so that you can get a nap!

Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

  1. Getting rid of the land line had the advantage of also getting rid of the telemarketers.

  2. I am chuckling as I type this. telemarketers in Canada...if they don't get you during the day, they call you at dinner time ~ look out when they call our house. Mr. Vintage asks them politely if he can have their telephone number and he will call them back when they are having dinner ;-)

  3. And why do they always call at dinner time? I guess they think that is when they can catch someone at home. So aggravating!!

  4. Yes, they call at all times of the day and are very annoying. I don't know anyone who has purchased anything this way, why do they bother? I simply tell them "I don't do phone solicitations", then gently hang up. You never know if it is a scam, you have to be very careful.

    1. We are on the state No Call list and we still get robo telemarketers. If it was a live person, getting employment from this, it wouldn't be quite so bad. I've questioned the state as to why we still receive these calls. Apparently the state can't actualy pin down the location of the callers. If the calls come while we are watching tv, our caller ID shows who is calling and we just don't answer the phone. When we don't answer, our little Fuzzy the pomeranian keeps running back and forth between the living room and the phone trying to tell us to answer it. He gets so bent if we don't answer. I realized when my daughter called the other day to make arrnagements to bring over the Grand, that Fuzzy thinks that it is always her calling and he may miss a chance to see our grandson. When I answered the phone, he was beside me wagging and tilting his head listening to our conversation. I guess maybe he can hear her voice, too.

  6. Even though we still have a land line, my number is unlisted and I do not get all those annoying calls. We did this many years ago because of constantly being awakened by the phone during the day when I sleep because of working night shift....
