New Pottery Barn Drapes

The two drape panels I ordered from Pottery Barn arrived yesterday.
I am so anxious to hang them and hope that I can find the rods I want
this weekend.  See this chair that the drape is draped over?  Hey that's
a redundant sentence, but I am going with it.  I want to paint this chair.
It was one of my Mom's favorites but I am not too crazy about the
pickled finish.  I am thinking of white for the frame and caning and
reupholstering the seat and arm in a red buffalo check.  What do you
think of that idea?

After I hang the drapes I will post the result.  Have a great Friday.
Bentley and I are busy fluffing the cottage before the weekend
begins.  Don't you just love Friday?  I do and always have.  Ah the
anticipation of fun and relaxation.  Always so promising.

Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

    1. Hi Debbie! I looked at them several times before I made up my mind. They actually are better looking than depicted in the catalog.

  5. Love the drapes and the idea of red buffalo checks...wonderful! I'm not too big on painting family pieces unless they are in awful shape, whatever you choose will be amazing!

    1. I would not paint them except that Mom and I discussed whether we should paint them or not. In fact she brought the idea up so I don't feel that I would be doing something she would not like. She really like buffalo check fabric too.

  7. They are beautiful. We've had good luck at Penney's finding rods and drapes. Target has a nice selection, too. Have a fun weekend! Hugs!

    1. Thanks for the tip. Fortunately I have both of those stores in my small city of Victoria. Otherwise I have to head to Houston or San Antonio or Austin, which is not necessarily a bad thing!

  8. Love the drapes and I think they will look terrific. I like the chair very much and the red buffalo checks will look good on the chair painted white.
Have a great fun, relaxing weekend.

  13. Hi! I just found this post by googling the PB Reagan drapes. I'm seriously considering ordering them for my living room if I can convince my Husband that a floral is a good idea. ;) I didn't see any other pics, so have you hung the drapes yet? I would love to see how they look! Thanks!

  14. What lovely drapes! For me, the multi-colored floral pattern seems very Victorian and Bohemian at the same time, which is very chic. I'm sure the drapes will fit perfectly with the windows too! Haha. And I think the white paint on the chair would look amazing. Until your next update!
