It's Cottage, It's Cute and I Still Love It

When I first started reading blogs I really became hooked on all the
ones that focused on cottage decorating.  I remember staying up until the
wee hours of the morning Googling every cottage style blog there
was.  If there was Cottage in a blog name, I was there.

Although I also love the styles of Mario Buatta, Charles Faudree and
English country homes, I always will have some cottage decorating
in my home.

There is something so innocent, so unpretentious, so naive about it
that just draws me in and touches my soul in a comforting way.

The soft colors, the mismatched china, the ease of it all that is
so friendly.  It's all really hard to resist.  At least it is for me.

Walking into a cottage style room is a bit like eating a freshly
baked sugar cookie.  Yummy and sweet and uncomplicated.
Completely unaware of any problems in life.

A cottage style room just spreads out it's welcoming arms as
if to say ~ Come on in.  I'll put a smile on your face.

Styles may come and go, yet I think the cottage style is cute and
I still love it.

If you want some sugar ~ go visit my Cottage Cuteness board on
Pinterest.  It's loaded with all things cottage and cute.

Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

  2. Before it was called Cottage, I called it Grandma's attic. I still love it and my homes always have a bit of it throughout!

  5. Love the painted tool box and the plates. I miss my pink and can't wait to find a home to put it in again. Apartment living is not for me.
