I am very pleased to show you my Lone Star Tablescape. Last fall at
the Round Top Antiques week, I purchased this Texas tablecloth. I
could hardly wait to bring it home and start looking for the perfect
tablescape elements to accent my find.
I already had the wicker chargers and the gingham plates, but I
recently found the bandana salad plates and Lone Star bowls at
my HEB.
I put red handled flatware in this cute little pitcher I found recently
at Home Goods.
Look closely and you can see our little town on the map. There
we are ~ Victoria.
I just think this tablecloth is so much fun!
Of course I added water pistols. We are not so politically correct that we
can't have a little fun spritzing each other in this south Texas heat :-)
Thanks for stopping by and y'all come back real soon!
Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
OMGosh- That is one of the BEST regional tablescapes I have ever seen. I just LOVE it and the water pistols are the perfect finishing touch, Susan. GREAT job! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHow adorable! We love our Texas. :)
ReplyDeleteYes we do!
DeleteSo darling! Love that tablecloth and all of your other finds. Especially love the water guns!!
ReplyDeleteJudy
It's so hot out that we may just have a water pistol show down in the back yard :-)
DeleteSusan, this is adorable! I'd love to add one of these textiles to my tablecloth stash. Can't beat the colors!
ReplyDeleteI guess with the new open carry law, you could take that water pistol to HEB. Ha! I say that tongue and cheek. I'm not in favor of the new law!
Well, the only open carry for me will be this water pistol :-)
DeleteReally love this! I immediately had to search to see if I could find an Arizona tablecloth. The elements you chose to go with it have such a classic, western feel. Great job!
ReplyDeleteIf I discover one, I will let you know.
DeleteCute! I love the tablecloth. Being a born there Texan, I have a soft spot in my heart for the Lone Star State!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't born here although my husband was, but I still have a soft spot for Texas.
DeleteGreat tablescape, what time is lunch? ))smiles))
ReplyDeleteStop by any time Mary. The kitchen is open all day!
Deleteoh Susan, those lone star bowls are too fantastic! And the table cloth with your town, how cool is that! I love you weren't afraid to add the pistols, goodness the political correctness today is stealing our freedom~ Happy 4th to you and of course Bentley!

Happy 4th to you as well Jenna!
DeleteLove the retro cloth, the bowls, the water pistols, Texas Rising. Great table!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteGreat creation.....once again. Should have Bentley in the picture wearing a red bandana. You gotta love him.
ReplyDeleteHe was outside barking at a cat when I took the pics of this tablescape. He has his priorities ;-)
DeleteJust love your Texas tablecloth and glad you found it at Round Top! The best place to shop twice a year and I have some lovely china and other table accessories from there. If your go again go to Cole's antiques mall and look for OMA'S and OPA'S FUN booth owned by Vicki and Kenneth Clark from Gainesville, Texas. They have great china and transferware you will want to shop there for they are wonderful and sweet people. I love HEB for they have great Texas tableware. I have some that have bluebonnets on the dishes but have not shared a tablescape yet. Love your Texas dishes from there and the layering of the place setting! You might enjoy a Texas tablescape from 3 summers ago for the 4th of July I did. Have a great week!
