My Mom had this French Country Cabinet. I wanted to keep it because
it was a favorite of hers, but I wanted to tweak it a bit to reflect a bit
more of my personality. As y'all probably know by now, I love the color
red and you see it in much of my house. So I painted the cabinet
inside and out with Annie Sloan's Old White, and lined the back
wall of the cabinet with a red toile fabric.
This cabinet has many pieces that belonged to my Mom that she
in turn inherited from my Grandmother.
I am a very sentimental person and like to have things around me that
remind me of the ones I am missing. So now these things have a
new home.
My Mom collected demitasse cups and my Grandmother liked
these little angels.
So here you have it. This week's tweak. Thanks for stopping by
and I hope to see y'all again soon!
Okay Bentley now let's go over this again. If you see a
possum in the yard, leave it alone! Possums can be
agressive and you don't have to prove anything.
Snakes are a no, no too. I know you think that you
are tough but your mama wants you to be safe.
Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

How pretty and what a nice reminder of your Mother.
ReplyDeleteI love the cabinet painted and with the toile back it's terrific. I also love red and have it in all of my rooms. I have been wanting to paint my hutch in Annie Sloan chalk paint in red and I think toile in the back would look so good. Many thanks for this great idea.
ReplyDeleteYou and Bentley have a great week.
Mary
