Turkey Day Countdown

One week until Thanksgiving. I love it!  I  love everything about it.

Family, friends, wonderful aroma's coming from the kitchen that fill the

house with such cozy joy!  

Polishing the silver.

Ironing the linens.  Pulling out treasured serving pieces.

Setting up the bar.  Cocktails for most of us and sherry for Mom.

Roasting chestnuts.  

Making whole berry cranberry sauce.

Celebrate Winter Cookbook

Should I make some Cranberry-Orange Chutney for leftover turkey

sandwiches this year too???

And the pie.  Pumpkin of course and a pecan for my sweet

southern hubby.

Oh yes ~ let's hear it for pie!!!

Bentley ~ I think you would look especially cute in one of these
tin can cottages.  Maybe if we get one, we can roll up a little picket
fence to set up when we camp for the night!

After months of political campaigning, I am really tired of listening to

political debates, analyzing the vote, etc, etc, etc.  So let's have a bit of

decorating fun and vote for ideas, inspiration and fun!

First of all ~ none of these pics are ones of rooms in my house.  All of

these come from my Pinterest boards, so you will not offend me with any

of your comments.

Let's go.  This first pic above is one of a monochromatic room.  White walls,

white furniture.  What do you like about it?  Is it restful and quiet or does

all of the white seem a bit icy to you?

by the pops of red.  Do you like it?  I will say, that I love the coffered ceiling.

Out and About With Bentley This Weekend

I think I see my momma coming out of the Boise Co-Op.  I hope that's 

her.  I have been patiently waiting with my daddy.

It looks like her.  She's putting the shopping cart in the cart caddy.

I think I smell roasted chicken.  I sure do hope it's her!

Yes ~ it's my momma!

After I join some parties momma said I should visit, I think I 

am having a chicken dinner.

The Last Rose

It snowed this morning.  Although the snow is not sticking down here in the
