Yee Haw Crock Pot Brisket Recipe

Put on your cowgirl boots, I'm going to share my Crock Pot Brisket Recipe with you'all. As I have told you, my husband is a native Texan. He loves his Brisket. Of course the way to make a perfect Texas style brisket is to smoke it very slowly for hours. Well up here in Idaho in February I would just as soon cook inside. My solution? Slow cooked brisket in my Crock Pot. It couldn't be easier. Just make sure you get it going early in the morning because 8 - 10 hours is needed. I don't measure, so season to your taste. This brisket will not be as firm as if it were smoked, but it's still yummy and will also make wonderful sammies!
  • A good sized brisket, but not too large to fit in the pot
  • A rub of Kosher salt, freshly ground pepper and garlic powder
  • One half cup of your favorite barbecue sauce
  • Put the seasoned brisket in the crock pot and add the barbecue sauce
  • One half hour before it's done you can add a splash of liquid smoke.

  5. How on earth did I miss all of these posts of yours? First....LOVE those red boots! Second, your tablescape is awesome. Aren't you glad you bought those dishes on that trip with your parents? What a lovely way to remember such a great time. I would LOVE to have a sandwich with you and sip some tea! Sadly, so many of my favorite mags have gone out of print, too. :( It's so great that your dad brought home such sweet souvenirs of his travels to you and your mom. I'm glad you are now the person who loves to display the spoons. YUM! That slow cooker brisket recipe sounds great! My son LOVES Sweet Baby Ray's Sauce, too!

Hope you have a great weekend!!! Dana

  7. Man, I miss brisket. You may wonder how I can live on a cattle ranch and not have brisket. Cowboy says it's because the kind of cattle in this part of the country (Hereford and Angus) don't have good brisket like some of the Southern breeds (like Brahman and Santa Gertrudis)do. Anyway, I'd love to try this recipe... if I could just get my hands on a stinkin' brisket. By the way, Sweet Baby Ray's is my favorite kind of BBQ sauce too.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment the other day.

    Blessings,
Necel from the Old House in Texas

  8. Hi again, Thanks for all the store names in Boise. I hope I'll have time to visit some of them in between taking care of my grandchildren. I am excited about both. Have a wonderful week. I posted about brisket not too long ago. I roasted it in the oven for 3 hours. It was delicious. Enjoy yours too!

  9. I will definitely be trying this - sounds wonderful! Thanks for visiting my S&T and becoming a follower! I love having new visitors and have been "private" for a couple of years due to a family "issue." Glad to be back where I can make new friends.

I have lots of family in Nampa right down the road from you.

  10. What an SWEET comment to make about my home. I am a bit self concious about it and you made me feel so much better. I know from my daughters homes that mine is probably old fashioned but you have made me feel better.
Is that a photo of your home in your header?? My gosh, that home is precious! Just precious! What a porch! Lovely!
    Hugs,
    Mona
