I love vintage tool boxes. Every time I see one when I am at an
antique shop, a yard sale or a thrift shop, I am instantly drawn to it.
The more worn out they are, the better I like them.
But I don't use them for tools.
See what I mean?
Joining ~
Bentley ~ your momma inherited your grandpa John's tool box.
I think I might actually use it for tools. Novel idea right?
Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
They are beautiful ! Papa here bought one from an antique shop last year and some antique tools as he loves to do wood work ! We love going antiquing ! Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteLove, Love, Love toolboxes and I don't use them for tools either. I have a favourite one that I use for seed packets, my little garden tools and my garden gloves. Love it
ReplyDelete;-)
I see what you mean and you have spurred me to play with mine. I also look at them in antique stores but prefer to find them where people have no clue what they have:} Yours are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration! I think I'll start looking for one - with a great patina!

The tool boxes are fabulous. I love the baskets and vintage silverware as well.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful Susan!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way!
ReplyDeleteI have one that my grandfather, who passed when my dad was a boy, had made. I have just a couple things of his and this is the one I cherish most. It is on my desk in my office and keeps my desk tools and supplies orderly.
Love this post, Susan!
Beautiful post. Hope to see you at My Dream Canvas.
ReplyDeleteI think there are very few women(if any) that would put tools in their vintage toolbox...I love them too
ReplyDeleteI am the same way. However I'm more drawn to the metal versions. I have a growing collection of them but not a single wood version. I may have to change that now that I've seen a couple of yours. They are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am always on the hunt for one myself and come up short..or I see metal ones. You got some good ones Susan. Have a great weekend:)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love them too. It seems like they are getting harder to find, but it is seldom that I pass one up when I come across them. I'm with you. The more rustic the better.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Laura
We have a very oldone that was my husbands Uncles. It is a real treasure here. I have to STEAL it sometimes for a vigette:) XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteHa! Love your title! I haven't met one either! Great looks!

If it's a box I love it! Tool, tackle, etc. Love how you've creatively used both. Can't wait to see the inherited one. Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup.
