Urgent Prayer Request

Yesterday I spent most of the day with my Mom in the emergency
room of St. Luke's Hospital.  After many tests, the doctors have
determined that she has congestive heart failure.  The prognosis is
not very good.

My Daddy died a bit less than two years ago.  I'm hoping that I can
have a few more years to spend with my Mom.  I am her only child and we
are very close.  She took such wonderful care of Daddy while he suffered
for several years from Alzheimer's.  It's now my turn to take good care
of her.

I believe that when two or more come together in prayer, the best
outcome will happen.   I am asking for your prayers so Mom and I
can have a few more quality years together.  Thank you.

Big Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

Family Emergency

It's 1:40 am.  I just returned home from the emergency room.
My Mom's blood pressure is going from dangerously high to normal.
Her pulse is very fast.  She's in the chest pain center now.

The doctor sent me home to get some sleep.  Later this morning I will be
taking her to visit her cardiologist.

I won't be posting for a while.   I don't know what her prognosis will be.
I just know that I want to be with her.

Hopefully, all will be better and I will be back to visit with you all
again soon.

Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

The Mountains Embrace Me

There are rough patches in life.
Events that touch us and change everything.

Whenever I feel that the burdens of life become
too great  ~  I go to one of two places ...
the ocean or the mountains.

The big shoulders of the Rockies embrace me
and make me feel safe.  They provide a place of
comfort where I regain a sense of peace.

My Mom had a TIA ~ a Transcient Ischemic Attack
She is fine for now, but it is a warning that she
could have a stroke.

I plan to spend as much time with her as I can, so
I won't be posting as often as I have in the past.

I am just taking life day by day.
I'll be back when I can and until then
Bentley and I wish you peace.

Love,
Susan and Bentley
