I love egg cups. I only have a few of them.
I hope to find some more. They are such a sweet and gentle way to start
the day.
I know that there are new ones, but I think the vintage ones are
the sweetest of all.
The snow is starting to fall here. We may actually be getting the big
snowfall they predicted for today. I hope we get snowed in so that I can
read blogs all day!
Bentley ~ Momma will have to shovel a path for you!
Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
Hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteOH I love them too! they are so pretty and petite. I love seeing all the different china patterns.
Have a sweet day and keep warm, Elizabeth
Sweet! I have two - one belonged to grandpa and is very vintage - 1930's-'40's - and the other is the Moss Rose pattern. I've always thought to make myself a two minute egg in it sometime - then - opt for the fry pan . . .
ReplyDeleteJoy!

I love egg cups and agree the vintage one's are the best! Yours is very sweet. I have a few in my home and I am always on the lookout for more. Hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteI used to collect them, never used them, something had to go, so they went. Richard from My Old Historic House.
ReplyDeleteOk, aren't these tricky to use? You need to show us how---I guess you would't use it for a hardboiled egg would you?
ReplyDeleteI am starting to succumb to the charm of vintage egg cups too. Since we like to eat eggs for breakfast, I am looking forward to learning how to cook eggs for them. I just need a few more!
ReplyDeleteThey have an old world charm don't they? I do not like eggs for breakfast so you can buy them all Susan
ReplyDeleteSusan, I love vintage egg cups and have a few myself, even though I am allergic to eggs, they still make me smile ;-)

I love egg cups too, Susan. This year I bought some plain white ones at Home Goods, and just bought 4 coddlers (the ones with the lids) at an auction, just because I like them. Yours is beautiful; I'm going to keep an eye out for vintatage ones now! Went to follow you--already a follower! :) ~Zuni
