It's so mild outside and I have spring fever and it's not even
Christmas day yet! This unseasonably warm weather has brought
with it thoughts of my potting shed.
I was considering building a new one, but then I thought to myself
why? Why not take the existing one and tweak it to my liking?
So that's what I plan to do. In the meantime, I decided to spruce it
all up for Christmas. Wait a minute ~ spruce it up ~there I go
with the puns again. Sorry! They just pop out all the time ;-)
So I hung a beautiful wreath that was a gift from the attorney who
represents David's company. Thank you Tom ~ we love it!
I tied tartan bows on rusty old yard tools and on a birdhouse too.
The two metal chairs were alley finds back in Idaho. They are rusty and
chippy and I love them.
I gave Mom's old straw gardening bonnet some tartan cheer too.
There you have it. If the weather is still mild after the holidays, I
will begin the potting shed renovations. It's just so much fun to tweak!
It's Bentley's 10th birthday today. He is being spoiled even
more than usual. He's not complaining ;-)
Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
Happy Birthday to Bentley and you did a fun twink on that shed!
ReplyDeleteThis is just too adorable for words! Perfect spot to sit have a cup of tea and read all the seed catalogs.;-)
ReplyDeleteOh, the fun of having a real potting shed! I think yours is festive with the red doors and the beautiful wreath. Well done, Susan!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, cute ideas!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful potting shed!
ReplyDeleteMine needs a lot of work, but I am looking forward to it.
Planting season is right around the corner.
Merry Christmas!
Laura
Happy Birthday, Bentley!! Your potting shed looks adorable. And I said the very same thing last night - it's not even Christmas yet and I'm already looking forward to spring!! It's this bizarre weather. I've been fixing up my potting shed aka Garden Cottage since I bought my house, a little at a time, and I've been posting the progress as I go along. I'm ready to tackle the next little upgrade....stay tuned for a post on that soon!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Looks so cute!
ReplyDeleteYes. It's Christmas day and I'm reading seed catalogues.
