I found this cute little cottage bird at one of my favorite shops
a couple of years ago. I was immediately smitten.
The strangest thing has been happening to me ...
I think I am morphing into my grandmother!
(she loved little birds like this)
Anyway, I just wanted to show you one of my favorite
things and to wish you all a happy weekend!
Happily Joining ~
Bentley ~ I think I will put on an apron and make a cup of tea
before we start cleaning the cottage. What do you think Bentley,
am I turning into my grandma???
Big Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
I think it is sweet and I am not a grandma :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I love this little bird, I am not a grandma, either. I wish I could be more like my Grandma Maria, she was awesome. xo
ReplyDeleteI love your bird! I'm not a grandmother but am old enough to be! Maybe in a few years.
ReplyDeleteHugs ~ Mary
It's a very sweet bird and a cup of tea sounds great! hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteSusan:
ReplyDeleteIt is a very strange process in life - one day you will do like me and look in the mirror and go Oh my - I have become Grandmaw. I am 64 and I NEVER DREAMED I would say this! I do love flowers because of her! Your bird is darling!
Susan, you make me smile. It is very strange to say things and do things like your grandmother and mother. Each day brings a new surprise as we morph into our relatives who had a deep impression on our lives. I think that's a good thing. It really keeps me close to my mom and my grandma.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend ~
That is too funny, morphing into your grandma, tho I must say judging by your floral bird, you two have great taste.
ReplyDeleteYour little birdie is sweet and perfect for Ash Tree Cottage. I suspect your grandma is a charming lady and one to be admired. '-)
ReplyDeleteI often think we may skip a generation. My mum absolutely hates all needlecraft, crochet, knitting and yet I can't live without it. I was taught by my Nan and Grandma and now they are gone I hope I am doing them proud! Your bird is adorable...I want one! Take care. Chel
ReplyDeleteSweet little bird.
ReplyDeleteIf you are morphing it can only be good
ReplyDeleteI should be so lucky to morph into one of my lovely grandmothers! Adorable bird!

ReplyDeleteAND BIRDS ARE MAKING A HUGE COME BACK....THEY ARE EVERYWHERE...
ReplyDeleteHAVE TO ADMIT...THEY ARE SO ADORABLE.
It's a darling little bird and I can see how you fell in love with her Susan!
ReplyDeleteI find birdies irresistable too - love her pretty floral wing...x
The stand she is perched on is the perfect colour!
Sending you some warm Summer sunbeams from my corner of the world!

What a sweet little bird. Today, I couldn't help but notice all the tiny little birds flitting by and perching in the three birch trees outside my kitchen window. Spring....Ahh...It can't arrive too soon.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, Susan.
Smiles,
Carolynn xo
Sweet little birdie. I can see why you were drawn to it. You should check out Helen's post if you haven't already. She is sewing up the prettiest little birds.

ReplyDeleteMerle...
Well, I must be morphing into your grandmother, too! Because I love birds in my home, as you know. This one you found is absolutely charming, Susan - I can see why you had to have it,
