Pillow Talk

Let's talk pillows.  Here's the thing ~
women love them,  and men ... well not so much.

In our house I often hear hubby say ~ "Lovie (yes that's what hubby calls me)
Do we really NEED all of these pillows???"

The answer is ~ YES WE DO!
I found this adorable pillow in an antique shop last week.  It's
not really an antique, but look at it.  Darling pink toile heart trimmed
with pink gingham.   How could I have possibly passed it up???

And ...

Just look at the sweet tiny pink roses on the sides.

Of course it had to come home with me.

Hubby puts up with my pillow addiction, but he doesn't get it.
I don't think any man does.

Even though Bentley is a male dog, he gets pillows because he
likes to sleep on them.  He especially likes to sleep on down
filled pillows.  What can I say?  He likes to be comfy.

A Fairy Campground

Bentley and I went for a walk and spotted something very special ~
A Fairy Campground!

I am pretty sure that it is Tinkerbell's camp because I have
seen these dishes before in the garden just outside her cottage
in our backyard.

She does like blue and white china you know.

This must be her little lantern.  I wonder if it is solar powered
or if it is generated by moonbeams?

This looks like it might be her little bedroll.

Notice how she has carefully staked her tent to keep it secure.

Yes, it's a bedroll.  Maybe she plans to turn in early.

I am joining

Bentley ~ I guess even fairies need to get away on vacation sometimes.

Help I Need A Facelift!

Here they are ~ two garage sale thermoses.  So much promise,
but they are faded and in need of an intervention.  In their hearts
they are two thermoses ready for a transformation ... and after going
under the knife ~ drum roll please ...

They are renewed and refreshed!  All they needed was an in office face lift!

Ready to meet their public at the picnic.

One quick cover of a vintage oilcloth print and they are transformed.

Congratulations Dr Bentley for a job well done.  Thank you
for consulting on this case Dr Susan!  Don't mind us ~ Bentley and I
just finished watching the Tony's and are feeling quite theatrical.

While we are taking our bows, please go visit ~

Table Top Tuesday
Cowgirl Up
Rednesday

I am thinking of writing a
Broadway play about Yorkies ~ do you want to pitch it Bentley?

It's All Mountain Monkey Business To Me

Last weekend we were visiting our lot up in the mountains and meeting
with the excavator, but I just had to take some time to visit one of
my favorite shops in McCall, Idaho ~ Mountain Monkey Business.

They have wisely placed comfy chairs for husbands to sit while their
wives shop, but it was too cold and windy for anyone to be sitting out and
just enjoying the scenery.  Aren't these cute chairs?

I love the metal accents.  Just darling!

While it may have been too cold to relax outside ...

The wind was brisk enough for a fine sail on the lake.  This is the
beautiful Payette Lake.  It is an ancient glacier formed lake surrounded by
majestic mountains and thick Ponderosa Pine forests.  We even have
our own sea serpent named Sharlie.  Must be a relative of the one
in Loch Ness!   I am so excited to be getting a sailboat because I
I love to sail.   I have my heart set on a West Wight Potter.  It's a
sturdy little craft and the cutest sailboat ever.  Looks a bit like a toy
boat a child would sail in the bathtub.  If you have never seen one,
go to the West Wight Potter site.  And if you think they are too tiny,
I am happy to inform that some fellow sailed one solo from the
San Francisco Bay to Hawaii.  Not that I intend a solo sail across
the Pacific mind you, but I'll be happy to sail the Payette and our other
mountain lakes.  Bentley will be with me of course.  He's a good
little sailor.

Have a wonderful Sunday and be sure to visit the Tablescaper for

Bentley ~ Mama is shopping for a West Wight Potter now.  Get your
life vest ready!

Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
