Milk may be good for your bones
but ...
Cookies are good for your soul!
Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies
2 sticks butter
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar ~ packed
2 extra large eggs
2 1/4 cup unsifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp hot water
2 cups walnuts broken into pieces
2 cups semi~sweet chocolate chips
Cream butter in your mixer. Add salt, vanilla, and sugars and beat well. Add eggs and beat. On low speed, add half of the flour. Beat and scrape bowl. In a small cup stir in the baking soda into the hot water to dissolve. Mix into dough. Add remaining flour and beat only to mix. Remove bowl from mixer. Add chocolate chips and chopped walnuts. Chill dough. After dough is chilled, drop about 1 tsp of dough onto parchment lined cookie sheet. Place in preheated 375 degree oven for about 12 to 15 minutes.
Enjoy ~ and remember to think happy thoughts while eating
your cookie!
