Easy and Sweet Christmas Treats

I have probably told you this at least a hundred times, but here it is again,
I am not a good baker.

I love to cook and I have worked my way through Julia Child's cookbooks,
but when it comes to baking I have never had the passion.  My Mom was
a terrific baker and cake decorator too.  I inherited all of her baking
equipment, so I better put on my apron and get to work ;-)

This past Saturday I was watching my new favorite cooking show
on the Food Network ~ The Kitchen.  Sunny made some easy raspberry
tarts with all store bought ingredients.  I thought to myself ~
even I can do this!

It's really simple:  you just take store bought refrigerated sugar cookie dough and
cut the log in half and then each half into thirds.  You put each slice into a
muffin pan and press the dough in a bit.  Place in a 350 degree oven for
20 to 25 minutes.  Let cool completely and then remove from pan.  Then
you take vanilla pudding and place in the cups and add fresh raspberries to
the top.  Finish with powdered sugar and you are done!

We went to a barbecue at our neighbor's house yesterday and I brought the
tarts.  Even the kids loved them.

Don't forget to visit the Christmas in Texas Blogging Tours!
My home will be on the tour Thursday, December 10th.

  2. They look delicious, Susan! And maybe even I can do them, considering how short on time I seem to be getting these days - like probably everyone else. The whole table looks beautiful. How festive!
