Here is a cute little shelf. I like the lines of it, but it is a bit dark and decided to give it some new life ...
Some heirloom white paint and suddenly it's transformed into a cute little shelf to hold some sweet little treasures!
I hope that everyone is having a great Labor Day Weekend! My hubby and I will be enjoying a beautiful day in Idaho. When you have a chance, be sure to stop by and visit Susan's Metamorphosis Monday and don't forget to stop by and see Marty for her Table Top Tuesday party and remember to visit Linda at Coastal Charm for Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays!!.
Come on Bentley ~ let's go outside and enjoy this lovely weather!!
Love,
Susan and Bentley

ReplyDeleteI am looking for a good white paint that is a subdued white if you know what I mean? What kind of paint were you using for the shelves, it looks very muted and vintage. Thanks...
Have great evening Susan and huggers to Bentley!

Susan...your shelf looks wonderful!! I am inspired to get the one down that I bought at a garage sale and paint it. Did you use spray paints or use a brush? What a great transformation!!
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs,
Mona
So cute!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan and Bentley!
ReplyDeleteGosh I have that very same spice shelf with drawers and painted it the very same white!!
I love all your bitty display pieces.
If you collect Steiff you already know but if not the little mohair terrier on the bottom shelf is quite rare! It's from the mid 1950's and made specifically for the Vogue Ginny Doll! I have a couple of them but none with the original plaid coat! You lucky girl you!!
Thanks for the fun post!!
Hugs and Smiles,
Lynn

What a great piece for little treasures. The paint made all the difference. The best decorating tool of all! I love your little treasures. The Wirehaired Terrier is especially sweet.

I have the very same shelf! Got it at Goodwill for a couple of dollars, it's all painted now and waiting to be hung! I love how you accessorized yours! I'm your newest follower as it seems our decorating taste is very similiar!
ReplyDeleteGenerally I am not one to paint everything white but in this case I say your treatment is a HUGE improvement. I thought it was an ok piece before but now it is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAnd your taste in decorations is totally my style.
