Gas prices are high ~ so lots of folks will be taking
their vacations closer to home. Here's an idea I shared
with you last summer ~ backyard camping.
In Re Run Red of course. By now ya'll must know how
much I love red! So grab a vintage thermos and a
vintage coffee pot to brew coffee on the campfire.
As the sun sinks slowly in the west, I'll be dreaming of
thrifty holidays.
Hop on over and visit ~
and
Bentley and I are postponing our What's for Dinner Party
until a later date. We will keep you posted.
Bentley says Woof to Y'all!
Love,
Susan and Bentley

What a wonderful idea ~ Mr. vintage and I camped in our driveway when we finished our little retro camper ~ such fun~! ;-) Hugs to Bentley
ReplyDeleteLooks like the perfect little weekend getaway.
ReplyDeleteCozy, red, and Bentley....what could be better ?

Great idea, Susan. Gas is just way too high!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like so much fun! I remember my sons camping in the backyard! ♥
ReplyDeleteOh Susan Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteHow much fun would this be? I love seeing the little tent propped up and how cute are the lights. Just camping out back with the critters.
Great idea, and yes gas is way to HIGH, especially when you have a truck. Eats it I tell you.
I bet Bentley would have a blast camping out. Isn't it amazing how much better everything tastes cooked outdoors on a Coleman camp stove, in an iron skillet of course.
That might be fun to do with the kids. We have already been fighting the mosquitoes here, so we would need a netting of some sort.
Have a great week sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
My daughter and family usually take off for the East Coast, due to gas prices they've decided to do some camping instead. hugs ~lynne~
ReplyDeleteSo cute and the music, too! I remember this post, well. I love all the red! Sitting here in my winter jammies, blogging.

ReplyDeleteGlad to be following you now...
Cute idea Susan! My boys would love this:)
ReplyDeleteIt may be a rerun, but I had not seen it. Nice idea.
ReplyDeleteIt looks romantic! Lots of mosquitoes in the summer where we love. I might need a zip up tent.
ReplyDeletedarling campsite~
ReplyDeleteIt's been raining here for a week now! OH MY, NO camping here without a slicker, hehe! BUT I DO miss the perked coffee over a campfire. "LOVE,LOVE,LOVE" that!!! The smell is intoxicating... Love your post, it's so much fun...NOW I'm off to Round Up a cup of Java! Hey maybe I'll have it in a TIN CUP!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Donna
I love to camp at home or otherwise. And if you're camping with the color red it's even better. Love how the chair turned out. Mimi
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to view Re Run Red, such a clever name! Your backyard camping adventure is so FUN and I adore your vintage camping accessories. The Scotch cooler brings back memories from the 1950's. This would be a great idea for when the grandsons visit me this summer. We may have to try it for ONE night....LOL.
ReplyDeleteSo charming and so fun! And I bet Bentley loves it too!
ReplyDeleteCindy
Your quilted tent with lights is so adorable & cozy, it ALMOST makes me want to camp! Love your vintage thermos~
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful red vintage camping trip! Unfortunately we have had rain for 45 of the past 54 days. We would be swimming instead of camping!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute Idea!
ReplyDeleteHi there, I am calling by today as I am busy catching up with all the blogs I missed reading while I was away, especially other Outdoor Wednesday participants. Red is my favourite colour as well. :)
