What can make your dreams sweeter?
Hand embroidered and cross stitched pillow cases
with pink flowers and crocheted edges of course!
Add in a hand stitched pink and white quilt or a vintage chenille spread with
pink flowers. Sweet dreams are guaranteed!
It's time for Pink Saturday again!
Thank you for all of the many kind notes regarding my Mother-in-Law's
passing. David and I both appreciate your kindness.

Bentley ~ are you having sweet dreams napping on that pink quilt?

Susan and Bentley
These are so pretty! I have several pairs of pillowcases hand-embroidered by my Mom. They are about 30 years old now, and so soft. I treasure them. Nice post.

Well, beautiful vintage linens such as these can make my dreams very sweet. I love the embroidery especially!!
ReplyDeleteThose are so beautiful. I have a quilt and pillowcases from my grandmother that these remind me of. I'm sorry for the loss of your mother-in-law. My mom passed away in 2008, and my mother-in-law passed about nine months before that so I understand the sorrow and the loss that one feels not having them close to talk to anymore. My heart grieves with you both.
ReplyDeleteI love any type linen items. You certainly are blessed having these treasures.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful dreamy post! Aren't lovely linens such a wonderful luxury! Vintage cross stitched or crocheted beauties catch my eye everywhere I go!
ReplyDeleteYour collection is delightful.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. God bless you.

OOoo, I love vintage embroidery and cross stitch linens. My paternal grandmother did many of those and I still have a few sets, though they are a bit worn (I actually used them). Yours are stunning, and look so crisp and cool.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about your Mother-in-Law.
Enjoy your Saturday,
Marianne
Your pink and white is so lovely. I think lovely linens like these look wonderful paired with a quilt. This look adds so much charm to a bedroom.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday.

Great minds must think alike because I've been thinking of embroidering pillowcases. Super job.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday Sweetie, and you too Bentley...
ReplyDeleteWhat an elegant and gorgeous share today sweet friend. I can smell these fresh linens as if they just came off the line and have been freshly ironed and starched. How beautiful they are. The embroidery is exquisite and I love the colors and textures.
The music is perfect today sweet friend. An absolutely gorgeous post. I so enjoyed my visit. Country hugs and much love, Sherry

So beautiful! I think there's nothing cozier!
ReplyDeleteI have a set of pillowcases my mother embroidered many years ago. I hate to use them for fear they will wear out before I do :) but it makes me so near to her when I put my head on my pillow that is covered with her loving handiwork.
ReplyDeleteI, too, am sorry for your MIL's passing. Alzheimer's is such a wicked disease. I am sure she loved your recent post and tribute to her. . . and am certain she would have loved blogging, too. I often times think my mom would have gotten a thrill out of the fact that I had a blog. . . she was always my biggest supporter.
Happy Pink Saturday. Dana
Susan ~ thank you so much for displaying these Pretties. My daughter's father passed away this week and it's been a little tough. Thanks again for making me smile through my tears ;)(
ReplyDeleteLovely!! I need to pull mine out and start working on them again. Sorry to hear of your loss. Have a wonderful weekend.
