On Thanksgiving Day, David, Bentley and I drove the two hours from
our house in Victoria to my sister-in-law Cindy's house in Houston to
celebrate with her family. Cindy is my husband David's sister and she
has three daughters, three granddaughters and a grandson on the way.
It was a big crowd with 19 adults, some family, some friends, 7 kids
and 4 dogs including Bentley.
Cindy set up a festive separate table for the kids. They kept popping
up and down and it was hard to get a picture when all were present.
Our grandniece Faye is down at the head of the table on the far left.
Faye is 7 and is named after her great grandmother Faye who is
107 years old and still active on Facebook! Anna is the darling
3 year old on the far right. She is our other grand niece. Our
third grand niece Hazel is missing from the picture. Hazel and Anna
are the same age and are inseparable cousins. Next time I hope
to show you a photo of Hazel too because she also is a little doll.

That evening after a fun day and delicious dinner with the family,
we checked into the Omni Houston, our home for the rest of the
weekend. The hotel was packed and included 107 rooms reserved
by the Tennessee Titans football team who were playing the
Houston Texans. The hotel is pet friendly, so Bentley was not
alone. Every walk included meeting other pups, so he was
having a fun vacation too.
Of course I had to fit in a bit of shopping, so after we had
lunch with David's brother on Friday, I hit the mall. No, not the
Galleria, but one of the antique malls. Black Friday at the
antique shops is not chaotic and although still busy, it's a
more civilized kind of busy.
We are visiting Memorial Antiques and Interiors on Katy
Freeway in Houston. I'll just let you enjoy some pics for a
while ....
Of course you know I was charmed by this Yorkie painting!
I will have more pictures of these antique booths to share
with you tomorrow. Until then, we are back home in
Victoria, I am pulling out the Christmas decorations and
remembering all the fun we had with family and friends
this past weekend. That's our news. Bentley and I are so
happy to be back with y'all once again. We hope that your
Thanksgiving weekend was as memorable as ours!
Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
