Teeny Tiny Pink

This is it! A teeny tiny pink perennial in my garden. We had rain all last night and a big thunderstorm and a tornado today. This is all I could shoot between the raindrops. But, I do love these little pinks. Now I think that Beverly will have something grand to show you for this Pink Saturday at How Sweet the Sound and Laurie will too for her

Maybe the weather will be better next week. What do you think Bentley?? Would you like to be our new weatherman? Or should I say weather dog??

Love,
Susan and Bentley

Rain and More Rain in the Garden!!

I would love to get out in the garden but as I look out the front window, there is nothing but rain. Rain and more rain! The ground cover is so thick it has buried the old lawn chairs out front. My poor peonies have lots of buds, but the cool temps and lack of sunshine are keeping the blossoms from opening up.

I still have pansies though. They are happy in the cool and wet weather. Bentley and I are longing to get outside, but we'll just have to poof and fluff the inside of the cottage.

First I want to show you this darling set of handmade jewelry I won from Jennifer over at The Toy Box Years!! Thank you so much Jennifer! I know that I will enjoy wearing these sweet pieces this summer.

Aside from fluffing the pillows in the cottage, I'll be visiting Cindy's Show and Tell Friday at My Romantic Home, and Brenda's Cozy Little House for Welcome Wagon Friday.

Bentley, if we put on your yellow rain slicker you can go outside and not get too wet. Bentley says no.

Vintage Guest Towels

I have been collecting vintage guest towels for years. I love the hand embroidery and the sweet crocheted edges.

Towels trimmed in satin ribbon and sweet scalloped borders.

I seek them out in antique shops and thrift shops too. I wonder about the women who so lovingly produced these sweet towels. Thank you for visiting me on this Vintage Thingie Thursday. Don't forget to stop in at Suzanne's The Colorado Lady for more vintage finds!! I am also linking up with Jenny at her blog for Alphabet Thursday where this week's letter is "T".

Shh ... Bentley is sound asleep in his little bed. He's had a busy morning already!!

Too Cute!!

I borrowed Bentley's favorite red fleece blankie with little scotties on it for this Rednesday's touch of red. I had to take a few quick shots because he was very worried that it was missing.

Here is a little Mary Engelbreit lunch box. It's brightly colored and fun with it's little scotties dressed in red sweaters.

Two more scotties and a terrier. These little guys always look so cute in red sweaters and red plaid collars. Mary Engelbreit's birthday is Saturday June 5th. Allright, that's a wrap, now head on over to Sue at It's a Very Cherry World for lot's more reds on this Rednesday!!

Okay Bentley, I'm all finished with these photos and you can have your favorite blankie back!!

Our Anniversary

June 1, 1989

Today is our 21st anniversary. I love David even more than when I married him. He puts up with lots of decorating projects, laughs at my silly jokes and treats me like his queen. Thank you David. I love you more each day!!

Oh and Bentley loves you too!

Susan and Bentley
