Vintage Puppies!

I love puppies!! I am linking up with Suzanne at The Colorado Lady for her very popular Vintage Thingy Thursday to show off some vintage puppies. All of these vintage puppy items are edged in a soft green. That was such a popular color years ago and it gives everything a very soothing look.

I love this dresser scarf. It features the ever popular scottie motif. Scotties became so popular because FDR had a scottie named Fala. When I was five years old, I received my very first puppy. She was a sweet little scottie and her name was Bonnie Heather MacGregor.

Isn't this a sweet print. Becky over at Sweet Cottage Dreams will probably like this because it looks like her two sweet pups.

Thank you for stopping by to visit our vintage puppies today. Please stop by and see everyone else's vintage items too!!

Love,
Susan and Bentley

  4. So adorable! I love dogs! I didn't know about FDR having a Scottie. That would explain why it's so much easier to find vintage Scottie things than other dogs (I have a Golden so I'm always looking for Golden Retriever things).

  9. Your Bentley is CHARMING! My Sis has had Yorkies for years, and then, at this time in their lives, they decided not to get another after they lost Miss Scarlett. They love to travel and just pick up and go at anytime. But a friend/breeder called and guess who has a new little fella named Frank in her lap all the time now?

I do think the embroidered pups in your pictures are the exact ones in the books of my childhood, only the naughty little fellows always had a string of stolen wieners dragging along.

And I DO hope that your Dad will be better soon. I followed over from Daisy Cottage and what you said touched my heart.

  12. I Love your little dog pillow in the top picture! I have one of those vintage vogart embroidered dog pillows too... in mine the dog is playing a bugle... we thought it was perfect for our sons room because he played the trumpet.

  13. That is the cutest collection ever! It's so hard to pick a favorite, but I guess it would have to be the dresser scarf. So precious!
    Happy VTT!
