Knitting and Tea

Before we know it, September will be here. I'm already thinking ahead to fall. It's the season for sweaters and a hot cup of tea. The other day I found this cute book "Knits for Pets On the Go" from Vogue Knitting. I have been browsing through it while relaxing with a cup of tea.

Maybe I could make a cute new sweater for Bentley!

I did not make these cute tiny sweaters, but wish that I did. So that's what is on my table top this Tuesday. I wonder what Marty has on her table top? I'm headed over to visit her 26th Table Top Tuesday. Then I am headed over to visit Terri and Martha for the 24th Tea Cup Tuesday. All three of these sweet ladies provide lots of inspiration!

Wouldn't you like me to knit you a sweater Bentley??

Love,
Susan and Bentley

  11. Pretty tea things, Susan. Love the little doggie sweater...Bentley would look adorable in one. I love to dress Layla up in the colder months, too. She shivers inside the house! {I keep it cold and have a lot of throws lying about}. I don't knit but Target has some cute things!

    Have a happy day!

  13. I love the knitting book, it would be fun to knit up a few sweaters for Bentley.... My sister wants me to knit a sweater for her Boxer.... Bentley is so small it wouldn't take much time at all...
Lots of knitting fun ahead of you.
    Have a sweet day, hugs~Elizabeth

  14. Susan,
This bring memories of my Mom knitting all winter long. Her chair is by the fireplace and the basket was always at her feet to pick up and start knitting. She always made bootie houseslippers for everyone. Now she has had 2 strokes and macular degeneration, so she can't knit anymore. She so enjoyed it, too.
Anyway, if little Bentley gets a sweater, we all want to see him in it!
    xo to you both,
    Robin

  15. Well, I must admit, I am not looking forward to fall...because then winter will be here. The only thing I'm excited about for fall is BRONCO football!! Are ya with me on that one? (Or are you UI?)

We actually are huge Gator fans (coming from Florida, and hubby is a UF alum), but, hey, the Broncos are orange and blue just like the Gators and they're nearby, so we will root them on...and since they don't play in the summer, I have to look forward to fall for that.

Your teacup and teapot are really pretty. Combining with the book, it sounds like a lovely afternoon.

    Blessings to you,
    Patti

  16. Your cup and teapot are so pretty - such a dainty blue and white pattern. I have a Johnson Brothers green & white teapot in that same lovely shape.

What a cute knitting book. My doggy friend Baxter would love one of those sweaters - he's quite a clotheshorse.
