Sweet Vintage Planters

I love sweet little vintage planters, cachepots, whatever
you like to call them. I look for them at garage sales and
thrift and antique shops.

Aside from plants, you can use them to hold pencils on your
desk, make-up brushes on your vanity or
whatever you choose.

They are a frugal way to add a bit of sweet vintage charm
to any cottage.

  2. I love vintage planters as well -- have a bunch of McCoy pottery ones, as well as others. I have to admit that I laughed when you mentioned other uses, including as pencil holders. I'm staring at one on my desk that is overflowing with pens, pencils, scissors, knitting needles, etc. My cachepot is more of a catchall!

  23. Hello Susan,

I am happy to hear that you are feeling better. I love the sweet blue bird planter. I was rummaging around my garden closet a couple of days ago and discovered a mauve McCoy planter like your green. It came with the house and I had forgotten all about it!

  24. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and becoming a follower!! I am your newet follower.

Don't you just love all the wonderful things you can find a garage sales, thrift stores and antique stores? It blows my mind sometimes to think that someone got rid of those lovely things because they didn't want them anymore.

I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

  25. The planters are neat. I like those with pigs, donkeys and girls. Figural? is that a good adjective? I have several plain rectangles. I like simple too. I use one for the kitchen sink scrubby. Bath is too small! LOL
