Soup Tureen Time

I love this time of the year when there is a chill in the air and it's the perfect time
for making soups and stews.

It's fun to serve family and friends homemade soup from a vintage
tureen.  There is nothing more comforting than coming home to the lovely
aroma of soup simmering on the stove.

Tomorrow I will be sharing my recipe for beef and barley soup.  It's a
hearty soup that you can easily make a meal from served with crusty bread
and a salad.  I will be sharing lots of my soup recipes with you.  If you are
a vegetarian or a vegan, I have recipes for you too.

Until tomorrow let's party with ~

and

Bentley ~ should I arrange a play date for you and sweet Daisy?

Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

  1. I love soup! All kinds, particularly hearty or creamy soups. Because I don't cook anymore, I have to rely on restaurants and the kindness of friends who cook!

Also love tureens! They are my favorite serving pieces, but without soup, I don't get to use mine.

Beef and Barley, huh? Maybe, just maybe....

  5. I can't wait to see your soup recipe. I've never had a fall where I craved warm, tasty soup like I do this year - perhaps it's all the sickness I've had, but soup sounds like just what the doctor (should have:) ordered. Your tureen is beautiful - love it!

  16. I could eat soup nearly every day when the weather is cooler. However, I enjoy it the year round. I just do not have the pleasure of it being in a pretty dish like yours.
