Today I ventured out into the cold to visit an antique mall I have
never been to before. I saw these wonderful blue and white drawers.
Inside is a blue and white transferware bowl and some cute
blue and white towels.
But then I found this! A Rose Chintz cup and saucer by
Johnson Bros. This pattern is my newest passion. I am quite sure
that more of this pattern will start finding it's way into my cottage.
It will make the perfect cup to enjoy some hot tea from while
I pour over the newest copy of Miniature Collector magazine.
Well that's what I have been doing today. What did you do?
Happily Joining ~
Bentley ~ I am making spaghetti for dinner tonight.
Your favorite!

Your cup and saucer is gorgeous, so glad you found this. Sounds like you had a very successful antiquing trip. I stayed inside by the fire and read - my idea of a perfect day. Of course I did go out to get my Mickey D's sweet tea, how could I live without it, right?! Have a good weekend.

That is gorgeous. I think you and I had the same kind of luck today. I did the exact same thing...head up to an antique shop that I haven't been to for awhile and found the prettiest tea-cup I have ever seen for my collection. I just love it and, like you, want to find more. Don't you just love days like today. I'll show you tomorrow. Hugs, Deb

Glad you ventured out.... your cup and saucer is gorgeous! You have great taste!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to spend a Saturday....Antiquing is such fun. My darling MIL has Rose Chintz china and I have sweet memories of Easter Sunday dining off them. They are so pretty and feminine. They suit your Ash Cottage to a tee!
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog. I'm so glad you and Bentley chose to stop by.
Blessings and Happy Valentines Day!

Your cup & saucer look very much like the Rosebud Chintz by Spode my aunt & cousin recently gave me. I am discovering the many table-setting possibilities with the set and have already used it several times.
ReplyDeleteThe blue & white drawers drew me into this post, and I am glad i visited. Thank-you.
Susan, your cup and saucer is just beautiful. what a lovely way to enjoy a cup of tea while browsing one of your favourite magazines. Today Mr. V. and I are heading out to a shabby chic sale in a nearby town. I'll share some of my finds with you ;-) Have a relaxing peaceful Sunday.

Hi Susan, I wish I could've done what you did - I shoveled snow all weekend long, we have more snow than you can shake a stick at! Record breaking in some areas!

I love Johnson Bros china! What a pretty pattern, sister.
