My husband and I met in Houston, Texas and that's where we
were married. Although I am not a native Texan like my hubby,
my Texas roots run deep.
So we are headed down to Texas for a little RandR.
We will be visiting friends.
By the way, our friends have a female Yorkie
so Bentley may fall in love!
Hanging out by the pool and heading to the beach.
Throwing steaks on the grill and eating some Tex~Mex too.
And I have my eye on a little spread down there with
room for a couple of horses. We'll see ...
The Ash Tree Cottage gang will be on the road.
We will be sharing our trip with you of the beautiful
scenery on route and maybe an antique shop or two.
Happily Joining ~
Bentley ~ it's a good thing that Tina your groomer is
coming tomorrow to get you all prettied up for your trip!
Big Texas Size Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

Have a wonderful trip (I love that napkin holder!). Take care. Chel x
ReplyDeleteGlad you're heading my way! Those boots napkin holders are darling, and my sister would LOVE to have a set, I'm sure. Her son's (my nephew's) rehearsal dinner featured wildflowers in cowboy boots. Have a safe and fun trip to the Lone Star state!
ReplyDeleteHave fun in my home state, but I'm from Big D (Dallas) not Houston. Sweet table settings!!
ReplyDeleteSusan, have a wonderful trip. Houston is looking very pretty right now! :D :D
ReplyDeleteWhat a special Texas tablescape with the red boot as you centerpiece. We are on the same wave link for have a boot with Bluebonnet blossoms. The trip to Texas is a great place for RnR and the good taste of Tex-Mex. I hope you have fun at the beach and the pool. I love shopping for antiques in The Spring area around. Your idea of a place for horses is great and we have some acreage in minutes of DFW which my son has plans for a house and barn. I hope you take photos of the Bluebonnets and wildflowers for they are in full bloom. Have a great time in Texas!

Sounds like a fabulous trip, your vignettes, as usual, are amazing. Please send Tina to my house when she's gotten Bentley in shape, Casper desperately needs a "do." Hugs ~ Mary
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip! I'm a Texan, born in Corpus Christi and my guy was born in Houston. We live in Georgia but my Texas roots are very deep! Bentley will enjoy the trip also I'm sure!
