This morning we had a thunderstorm. Some lightning, some thunder,
but mostly a huge long downpour. When the thunder and lightning
slowed down I came out of my panic room, made myself a cup of
tea and decided on the plan for the day.
It is supposed to rain all weekend. I am guessing we will have more
of what we had this morning, making it a perfect weekend for some
cottage nesting. I started already. Going through the house. Dusting
a bit and fluffing a bit. You know how we do. I really enjoy feathering
our nest. It's a comforting and cozy thing to do when the weather is
stormy.
With the exception of going to church on Sunday morning, I think
I will want to nest all weekend. We can make some popcorn and
watch old movies and of course whatever golf tournament is
scheduled. Maybe a nap or two. Sounds perfect to me.
What about you?

ReplyDeleteHow I would love to find some of those adorable red things you have for your kitchen. I love the kind of days you are having. I only wish I lived in an area where it happens more often. I love a rainy day. Even winds and cold are nice. Anything but the heat and dryness we are headed for. the little spice shelf..the little red watering can..so sweet!
ReplyDeleteThe bad weather is headed from Austin/San Antonio toward Houston. Today was a lovely day of light rain that sounded lovely on the metal thingy on the roof. I hear the storm gets really bad, so I guess I'll be Netflixing-it this weekend too.
ReplyDeleteSome neat things there! What is your black rooster made of? My mom has two black cast iron roosters on her kitchen wall. They are heavy
