Let's Go Shopping for French Antiques!

We took a quick trip to Houston because we needed to stock up at
Costco and of course go to a favorite restaurant for lunch and stop
at a favorite antique shop too.  I will just let you browse.  Let me
know your favorites and I will tell you mine.  Enjoy!

Although I love everything, my absolute favorites are:

The Oak Dresser
The Staffordshire Dog
The French Market Basket
Pair of Crystal Sconces

Okay, now let me know what you love.

Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

  3. Nice shopping day, whoo hoo!

I love the red striped chair that's hanging from the ceiling, the rusty scroll piece of fencing, the wing back matching chairs and the (driftwood?) cross on the wall.

    1. Those giant books are great. I may have to go back and look at them more closely.

  6. I'm with Ellen on the collection of mirrors. They are gorgeous and especially so grouped together. Also love that Staffordshire dog. It's so regal and would fit right into my grouping. '-)

    1. I am not sure what that box was used for. Because it is brass, I am guessing that it came from India or somewhere in the Middle East. It appears that there is a chain that is either meant for carrying or hanging. I am wondering if the bottles were designed to hold perfume perhaps? Don't know. I will research it because now I am curious too.

  9. What fun antiquing, Susan! The first two photos made me *sigh*. I love the green shutter in the first photo and the basket with hydrangeas in the second photo. Simple and time-worn treasures! ♡Dawn@Petals.Paper.SimpleThymes
