Yes, I'm still browsing around the antique store. I just had to share a few pink vintage goodies with you. Here is a charming little dish with a lovely single pink rose.
A sweet vintage bridge set. For those of you who don't play bridge, just think of it as a lovely pink and white cloth with four cute napkins.
I believe that these little boxes were once given as birthday gifts and were later used to store hankies. Is that right??
Finally, just some random cute pink accents. That's it for this Pink Saturday. Beverly has so many participants that you are sure to find something that will tickle you pink! That's a bit corny I know, but I'm working on my delivery!! Head on over to visit Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for some pink frivolity!!
What do you think Bentley?? Was that any better or do I still sound corny?? Bentley??
I think I put him to sleep.
Love,
Susan and Bentley

Love your background vintage music, Susan girl. Reminds me of "Thin Man" music. Of course, the old movie hounds that we are, know what that means :)

woof, Bentley
It's funny, when I first got married, back in 1986, I was into modern everything!! Through the years, my tastes have evolved, and now I'm into vintage everything.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE LOVE to go antique shopping. I've never been to that store in Hyde Park. In fact, I didn't even know it was there. (Yes, we live in the same city). My favorite antique source is The Antique Mall and Annex on Overland. I also like Once Upon a Time on State Street. And I just discovered a new store on Glenwood. I forget the name, but it just opened last weekend.
Well, I hope you have a lovely, very "pink" day.
Blessings,
Patti (Fill My Cup with Beauty)
Yes, I live in Boise. I don't have that on my profile and I don't really say it publicly, just for privacy/safety reasons. I have a friend who was stalked through her blog, so it's made me very wary. Also, we are hoping and praying to move (we're from Florida...we miss family ALOT...we miss the ocean...and daughter and I have been unable to adjust to living in a winter climate.)
ReplyDeleteIt WOULD be fun to meet up one day. I don't drink coffee, but Moxie or Starbucks has fabulous chai or iced tea. Let me know if that would be convenient.
By the way, Once Upon a Time is basically at the corner of State and Collister, whatever that shopping plaza there is called. They have TONS of vintage clothing.
And the new one on Glenwood is just behind the recycling center south of Chinden. It's in a little log cabin.
Anyhow, have a lovely weekend,
Patti

ReplyDeleteThank you for the wonderful comments on my kitchen. You are so right my husband does appreciate all the china when we have friends over to share it with. Not that he always will admit this!
I hope you find another store to take us shopping for treasures.

what lovely pink finds! I really love that box made with cards!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful finds! I remember my mother having some of the gift card baskets. I think a blind society made the ones she had. I love the way they are stitched together.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment. It made my day!
