Yes Mam I'm a Cowgirl Now

Just a five minute drive up the road from Ash Tree Cottage the landscape becomes
wild and free.  Rolling hills and sage abound.  You are in big sky country now.
We are on Cartwright Road.  Can't you just imagine Ben and his sons riding over the
hilltop?

This is one of my favorite stables.  I was taught to ride eastern style and rode in many
horse shows.  I long to be back in the saddle and as soon as I have saved enough
money, I'll be buying a horse so that I can be riding into the sunset.

That's my dream.

Bentley likes horses too.  He can ride along with me.

Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

  1. What a view! I'd love to see Bentley running along side you on a horse! Wonderful to be a part to Seasonal Sundays.

  3. It's good to have a dream! I rode for years, but it's been a long time since those days. Oddly, I rode Western until I lived in Oklahoma, where I took up the English saddle.

  4. Both my girls showed Saddlebreds when they were younger, and I always begged them to show Western because I wanted to buy all the pretty tack and outfits! ;P

They have both switched from saddleseat to huntseat. Shanley is trying out for the University of Alabama's equestrian team this fall. She is in training this summer! Pretty arena and place to ride. Will you be switching to Western?

  5. The closest I ever came to riding a horse was at the circus! Couldn't wait to get off!!! However, that said, it does look like a lovely sport. It's something I'd enjoy trying now. I especially love watching the Olympic jumpers!

  7. What a wonderful place to ride Susan! It would be fun to ride the hills and valley's there and explore new places. Good luck with your dream to own a horse again one day...I'm sure you'll do it in time. I've never ridden English...but my horse was ridden and shown in English Pleasure before I bought her. Maybe one day I'll give it a try. Sweet Dreams! Maura :)
