If you are looking for the post I wrote titled From Market to Table ~ it is
gone. I had a very disturbing phone call tonight while I was trying to compose
a new post and I deleted the post from Wednesday by mistake! I did my
best to recover it but it's apparently gone forever.
I have never done that before. These are the pics from that post ~ but
the text is only a memory.
Such has been my life ... a series of flubs caused by tension. Oddly enough
I was composing a post about how to handle stress when I received the
very stressful phone call. When it's not my Mom's state of health then
it is my Aunt. She is in quite a bit of physical distress right now. I have
been able to handle the stress of all the family illness up until now, but
I have begun to notice the toll it is taking on my own health.
I was just thinking today about how I need to take better care of
myself because I have two people who are dependent on me. I can't
afford to fall apart.
So if I make blogging mistakes just know that I am a bit
scattered these days. Thankfully I didn't delete my entire blog and
just deleted one post. I think I need a hot bath, a massage and a
cup of tea.
Bentley ~ your mamma needs a good listener.
Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
So sorry you are having a hard time Susan. I hope that your mom and aunt receive the medical attention they need to get better soon. Take care of yourself....and don't worry about your blog. Removing an older post is better than posting a half finished one like I once did when I was tired. I hope you are able to relax and regroup a bit this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI can so relate. Coming off one of the most stressful months of my life. :( Thinking of you~ xoRebecca
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself. In the last year I have been as stress free as possible ..before I had a lot of stress! It can make you sick, cause cancer, and everything else! Do try to relax and have a glass of wine. Things will get better.
ReplyDeleteSusan,
ReplyDeleteI understand what your going through. I agree, try to take some time for you and keep yourself well..
Take it from me you need to be kind to yourself.
ReplyDeleteRelax do something you enjoy. Your health is the most important thing in the world
Cathy
I know exactly how you feel! I was on vacation and tried to link up my Easter post (I had never used my Ipad for that, before),and I deleted the post. I reposted and the next time I tried the Ipad, I deleted the same post, again! I gave up and never had the heart to post it, again! I am so sorry about your stressful situation. Many of us have been through that, as well, and we do understand the toll that it can take. Please know your fellow bloggers are thinking of you!!!
ReplyDeleteI have been down that caregiver road and I know exactly what you're going through. Taking care of mom and dad in our home while my kids were toddlers, yes - and trust me, my mind is gone :) I'll be praying for you, and love you and Bentley bunches. Hugs ~ Mary
ReplyDeleteSusan I hope everything is okay up there. Life is so hard sometimes. On another note I just love the name of that wine. Have to find some.
ReplyDeleteI so know how you feel but you said it yourself. You need to take care of your health. You are no good to anyone else if you get sick or tired (or both.) Sometimes that's just about impossible. You are on the right track though. Admitting it is the first (and hardest) step. Try to relax and have a lovely weekend. Your header pics are stunning!
ReplyDeleteSusan,
ReplyDeleteDon't let the deleted post add to your stress. I always say, "in the light of eternity, how important is it?". The photos you recovered are beautiful. Please take care of yourself. I find for me, that exercise is the best way to relieve stress. No matter how bad I feel, I feel better after a walk. Take care, Dianne
Oh no!!! Isn't that the way it always happens, in the blink of an eye. I hope you can find some centering peace in knowing that the photos are lovely and they have bround beauty to so many!
ReplyDeleteSusan you know I understand that stress! I know I need to take care of myself also since so many need me! Right now my Mom is #1 and I am so thankful she is doing well, but still lots of stress and worry. Keeping you in my prayers that this will all get better soon! Hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteOh my - count me with you right now too. Especially today - only for me, it was juggling the issues of my sweet senior mom, and a passel of grandkids with a variety of needs. But things are starting to ease up tonight for us, and hopefully for you as well. Praying for you!
ReplyDeleteHPS, Susan and Bentley.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why, but I'm having a terribly time getting you blog to load. I kept at it today....and it finally popped up! I hate computers now and then.....but I love 'em, too. Is that a bad thing?
I have never deleted an already published post, but I have deleted a couple that were ready to be published..especially on our older Typepad version. Guess others had done that, too, so they made it harder to do.
I have to tell you that your Sunday post spoke to me. Our family it going through big health issues....and it's stressing the dickens out of all of us. I try to see that things can always be worse...and by golly, they get that way, so I've quit telling myself that. I'm just now trying to take care of myself (you're on the right track with that) as best I can so I can keep "upbeat" and somewhat energized to deal with what I have to deal with. But because it is our girl who is sick...it just keeps me very upset. Lots of time is spent praying.
Hope you had a great PS...and a peaceful Sunday!
L, Dana
Stress terriblt toll on the body. Of course all of us at one time or another will go thru it.Try and take care of yourself, or you won't be able to help anyone else.
ReplyDeleteHello Susan, I am late looking at the posts - glad I strolled through your blog to find this. I think at one time or another we all lose a post...I started copying the post in HTML form - putting it in a Word document - just in case. I've spent hours recreating posts before.
ReplyDeleteDo take care of yourself - God can grant incredible strength and calm when you need it - but, He also did advise rest to OT prophets when they were overcome. It applies to us all. God will richly bless you for taking care of your Mom and Aunt - I am glad you shared with Home and Garden Thursday, I appreciate you!
