Bentley got into a fight with a possum and was either bit or scratched on his left eye
or on the eyelid. He is at the vet's office now. The vet had left for the day and we had
to leave Bentley there. The vet will call us later to let us know how he is.
I tried so hard to separate them, but Bentley kept coming after the possum. He
is so fast and relentless. I love little Bentley so much. I just want him to be okay.
Please pray for him.
Love,
Susan

Yes will pray for Bentley!
ReplyDeleteOh, Susan. Yes, prayers for sweet Bentley and for you. I know it is going to be a long, sleepless night. We have critters in our yard too, so I'm always fearful that one may be waiting under the upper terrace which has open space below it or that something dangerous is otherwise in our back yard space. I even worry about owls and hawks.
ReplyDeleteKeeping you close in my heart.
Poor little pup. Hope he is ok.
ReplyDeleteOh poor little fellow, hope he is ok.

ReplyDeleteAwww..I am so sorry, Susan. Praying for your little pupster. I know he is your baby and you just feel helpless when things like that happen. I have a feeling he is going to be just fine, Mom! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOh dear. I hope that Bentley is home safe now and recovering!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry! Hang in there! Prayers for your Bentley!!
ReplyDeleteOh poor little Bentley! I am always terrified that my pups will be in a fight with one of the critters around our home - so scary! Bentley is in my thoughts and prayers....as are you, Susan.
ReplyDeletePlease let us know how Bently is doing. I am so upset hearing about that precious little guy. My Yorkie Riley would have done the same thing. I too have possums, so therefore I can't let him out in the back yard. He thinks he is a big dog, and will take on anything.
ReplyDeletePraying for a quick recovery for Bently.
He will be at the top of my list, you too! Xxxxx
ReplyDeleteOh Susan, so sorry about Bentley. He was protecting you from that Possum. I just know he will be alright.. Prayers being sent your way for Bentley and you.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Mary
Our pets are so precious to us. They give us such unconditional love!! He's such a darling and I hope and pray he comes back to you sassy and healthy soon!
ReplyDeleteIm catching up today and hope Bentley is all healed up. Our terrior chased a possum under our shed at our last house when he was about 7 years old. Other than scratches he was ok. Terriors are so protective that they just wont give up b/c they are "protecting their family". Hugs to the whole family ox
